About Our Foundation

Making society better through Engineering

AMPEG Global Foundation is the incorporated trustees of Alumni of Mechanical/Production Engineering Graduates from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. We are registered with relevant government agencies like the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria to carry out humanitarian services.

Mechanical & Production Engineers are professionals trained in designing and manufacturing of industrial products as well as maintaining the plant and machine components. Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers design, organize and oversee the construction, operation and maintenance of Engineering outputs, process plant and installations, establish programs for the coordination of manufacturing activities, and ensure usage of resources is cost effective. We are trained to ensure judicious use of resources.

In essence, the foundation exists to galvanize Engineering professionals and other partners towards bringing their expertise and resources for Humanitarian purposes.

The vision of AMPEG Global foundation is to galvanize Engineering professionals and other partners in bringing their expertise and resources for Humanitarian assistance.

Our Mision

The Mission of AMPEG Global foundation as Professional Engineers for Humanitarian Services is to enable underprivileged in the society to attain good educational level, job skill and high quality of living via sponsorship and mentorship. We also act as implementers of developmental projects like SDG 6 (WASH) and improve the standard of learning in schools.

What Is Our Objective

As a foundation founded on altruistic goals, our objective is simple and clear

To create high performance graduates and early school leavers by helping them to acquire knowledge, skills, trainings, mentorship and educational sponsorship/ scholarship to the less privileged.
To engage in Developmental Projects in Communities based on SDG 6 which is Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all (WASH).
To mobilize professionals and partners to contribute their skills and resources towards humanitarian aid, focusing on three main areas in Nigeria: Combating Climate Change, Promoting Gender Equality, and Improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Our SDG 6 Strategy

SDG 6 is the UN Sustainable Development Goal on Water (WA), Sanitation (S) and Hygiene (H) also known as WASH. AMPEG Foundation is interested in safe WASH Programs across communities . See Strategies below

Capacity Building

Through WASH, we seek to build the capacities of the beneficiaries and donor partners.

Web Development

Develop and support sustainable community system for water and sanitation sources.

Mobilization

Sensitize and mobilize communities, primary health centres, schools and public places using participation techniques to promote hygiene, the use of latrines at household ,eliminate open defecation and provide safe drinking water.

Enhance Capacity

Develop and enhance institutional and sector professional and staff capacity for sustainable service delivery.

Training

Train private artisans in latrine construction and hand pump boreholes maintenance and provide technical content for WASH facilities and ensures quality control.

LGA Support

At local govt. level wash units will be capacitated to support community mechanics (LAM) to maintain the water supply sources.
